Counseling can take on different meanings. Counseling can be educational; you may learn new skills such as how to cope or decrease negative thinking. Counseling can be insightful;you may gain a better understanding of who you are and what you want out of life. Counseling can also be supportive wherein you feel understood and is able to express your feelings in a safe, nurturing and nonjudgmental atmosphere. Counseling can be motivational; you may become uplifted, encouraged and empowered. Counseling can also be spiritual whereby you are able to connect to your higher power.

Whatever your needs are, I would love to work with you. When working with individuals, I make sure that you feel respected, important and understood. My sessions are positive, action orientated, enlightening, and collaborative.

I have a passion for working with issues specific to: adult women; the geriatric population; and children in foster care. My skill set incorporates the work that I have done in the following settings: secondary school counselor; community base counseling; child protective services; nursing homes; private practices; and inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment facilities
